Today the business is still owned and operated by the Andersen family with two of Jon's daughters, Lisa and Katherine, acting as Managing Directors. The QE Home story begins in 1989 in Vancouver, Canada. Howard and Jixin were economics students completing their PhDs at Simon Fraser University. As soon as they met, they knew that they had strong complementary skills and talent to build something great together. With nothing but a truckload of passion and energy, they began trying out various products before serendipitously coming across a duvet wrapped in a simple bag. The product was beautiful, comfortable, and an exceptional price – they had a winning product they felt passionate about.
